Odyssey Policies
Anti-Spam & Compliance Policy
Odyssey is a service operated by World Traffic Services LLC.
Last Updated: September 15, 2026
1. Scope and Purpose
This policy applies to commercial email, member mail, and related messaging sent through Odyssey, a service operated by World Traffic Services LLC ("WTS," "we," "us," or "our").
Our goal is to operate a permission-based member mail system, protect recipients, maintain deliverability, and comply with applicable anti-spam and data-protection requirements.
2. Member Mail and Consent
The Odyssey credit mailer is a membership-based advertising system. Members receive mail according to Odyssey membership rules, account settings, and applicable sending controls.
Odyssey uses confirmed account registration procedures, including email verification where required.
Members may not upload or import outside email lists into the Odyssey credit mailer for bulk delivery.
3. Unsubscribe and Suppression
Commercial member email sent through Odyssey includes an unsubscribe mechanism where required.
Unsubscribe requests are processed promptly, and applicable suppression records are maintained to prevent prohibited future mail.
Members may not intentionally circumvent an unsubscribe request or attempt to re-subscribe another person's email address without authorization.
4. Message Identification
Odyssey-generated commercial email must use accurate routing and identification information and must not use deceptive headers or misleading subject lines.
Commercial messages include appropriate sender identification, contact information, and other disclosures required by applicable law.
5. Transactional and Service Email
Account confirmations, email verification, password or security messages, purchase receipts, subscription notices, account setup messages, legal notices, and other transactional or service-related messages may be sent when necessary to operate an account or provide a requested service.
Transactional messages are not intended to function as member advertising mail.
6. Member Sending Practices
Members must comply with Odyssey sending intervals, credit requirements, frequency limits, eligibility requirements, content rules, and other mailer controls.
Attempts to bypass sending limits, manipulate credits, abuse multiple accounts, rotate identities to avoid restrictions, or otherwise circumvent mailer controls are prohibited.
7. Outside Lists and Addresses
Purchased, rented, scraped, harvested, or third-party email lists may not be imported into the Odyssey credit mailer for bulk mailing.
Members may not use Odyssey to send unsolicited bulk email to external lists or addresses obtained without appropriate authorization.
8. Content Standards
Messages and landing pages promoted through Odyssey must comply with applicable law and Odyssey advertising rules.
Prohibited content includes illegal or fraudulent products or services, deceptive claims, malware, spyware, harmful code, harassment, hateful content, adult sexual content, intellectual-property infringement, and other content prohibited by applicable Odyssey or WTS rules.
Landing pages must be functional in a standard browser and must not force downloads, interfere with browser controls, or improperly interfere with Odyssey systems.
9. Authentication and Deliverability
WTS uses email authentication and deliverability practices appropriate to the infrastructure used by Odyssey.
These may include SPF, DKIM, DMARC, TLS where supported, complaint monitoring, bounce processing, suppression systems, and other reputation-protection measures.
WTS may adjust sending practices, infrastructure, limits, or delivery methods as mailbox-provider requirements and industry standards change.
10. Bounces, Complaints and Reputation
WTS may monitor hard bounces, repeated soft bounces, unknown-user responses, spam complaints, abuse reports, and other indicators affecting sender reputation or member safety.
Elevated bounce or complaint rates may trigger review, sending restrictions, content review, or other corrective action.
Operational thresholds may vary based on mailbox-provider requirements, sending volume, message type, infrastructure, and other deliverability factors.
11. Enforcement
WTS may investigate suspected violations and take action reasonably necessary to protect recipients, members, service providers, and Odyssey deliverability.
Depending on the circumstances, action may include:
- Warning the member or requesting corrective action.
- Pausing or rejecting a message, advertisement, URL, or campaign.
- Restricting mailer or advertising privileges.
- Reversing credits or benefits obtained through abuse or manipulation.
- Temporarily suspending an account.
- Permanently terminating an account for serious or repeated violations.
Severe abuse may be acted upon without prior notice when immediate action is reasonably necessary to protect Odyssey, WTS, or others.
12. Compliance and Abuse Records
WTS may maintain records necessary for deliverability, security, compliance, and abuse handling.
These records may include timestamps, IP addresses, account or sender identifiers, message identifiers, delivery responses, bounce information, complaint information, and unsubscribe or suppression events.
These records are handled according to the Odyssey Privacy Policy and may be retained when needed for operational, security, legal, or compliance purposes.
13. Third-Party Infrastructure
WTS may use third-party hosting, email delivery, queue management, security, monitoring, or other infrastructure providers in operating Odyssey.
14. Changes to This Policy
Email standards, mailbox-provider requirements, laws, and Odyssey systems may change over time. WTS may update this policy to reflect those changes.
Material changes will be posted with an updated "Last Updated" date and, when appropriate or legally required, additional notice may be provided.
